Terms and Conditions
Love Letters is a professional and flexible copywriting and content marketing agency. We work to a high level of accuracy, producing work within agreed deadlines and pride ourselves on maintaining clear lines of communications with a client throughout the duration of a project, regardless of size.
We understand that every project and every client has unique requirements, with different stakeholders, and that the scope of a project can change for a number of reasons.
To avoid any potential misunderstandings, we work to a clear set of terms and conditions that protect both us and our clients.
What do we both agree to do?
As a Love Letters client, you agree:
- You have the power to enter into this contract on behalf of your organisation.
- To provide us with everything required to complete the project, when it is needed.
- To review Love Letters’ work, provide feedback and sign off within agreed timescales.
- To stick to the agreed payment schedule.
As the writer, Love Letters agrees:
- That it has the experience and ability to perform the services you require.
- It will carry this service out in a professional manner and within the agreed deadlines.
- It will respect the confidentiality of any information given by the client.
Quotations/proposals
Before commencing work on your project, we will supply a full breakdown of costs within a formal quotation or detailed email. Quotations are valid for 30 days.
All quotations are provided on our understanding of the project and on the basis that the scope of the work doesn’t change during the course of the project. In the event that it does, we will discuss any potential changes in costs with you in advance of carrying out the work to which the new charges relate.
Confirmation of a project
Before we start a project, we require your written confirmation that you are commissioning Love Letters to write for you, and that you agree to the quoted fee (an email confirming this is fine).
The service we provide to you
We will create text and/or articles for you as described in the assignment details section of this agreement.
Text will be delivered as a Microsoft Word document unless otherwise agreed.
If your project involves complex web pages, we will include annotated screenshots or use clear descriptions describing where the text should sit on the page.
Fees
Love Letters will agree a fixed price for a project. This fee will include time spent in meetings, on the telephone or in email conversations to discuss the brief, research, planning, writing and submission of the first draft, discussion, evaluation and integration of up to two sets of revisions to the copy (see Revisions below) and submission of the final draft.
Please note, however, that if we feel the brief of the project has changed substantially following submission of the first draft, we reserve the right to adjust our fees accordingly. We would always discuss this with you in advance.
Changes and revisions
As stated above, we are happy to carry out revisions as part of the fee quoted. This work will be undertaken within an agreed time frame, prior to the submission of the first draft. Free revisions cover the first and second set of proofs, but some charge may be attached to further amendments. This would be discussed with you before any charges are made.
Substantial rewrites that are required due to a fundamental change in direction of the project will be considered as additional drafts and will be charged accordingly. A new quote can be submitted before commencing this work, if required.
Copyright
Once full and final payment has been received, copyright of the work produced by Love Letters is automatically assigned to you. You can then use the work however you wish.
Until final payment is received, copyright of the work remains with Love Letters.
Love Letters reserves the right to display and link to your completed project as part of our online portfolio as well as to state on our website that we have carried out work for you.
Indemnity
Love Letters will take all reasonable care to ensure all facts and statements in any work produced are factually accurate and don’t infringe upon any copyright or other right of a third party.
Love Letters can't be liable to you, or any third party, for damages, including lost profits, lost savings, complaints, claims, litigation or other incidental, consequential or special damages that arise regarding a project.
